Radomes

Although radomes are designed to be transparent, they typically have some small effect on the antenna performance which needs to be quantified. This can be challenging because they are generally electrically large structures, often consisting of multiple thin dielectric layers. FEKO offers a range of features and methods that are well suited to simulation of radomes.

Key features:

  • MLFMM for the efficient simulation of electrically large platforms

  • True hybridized, asymptotic solvers for simulation of electrically very large platforms

  • Efficient treatment of thin dielectric layers and coatings

  • Model decomposition for equivalent representation of antennas to reduce computational requirements
