About MATELYS
MATELYS is an independent research laboratory dedicated to the study of porous materials. The activities cover acoustics, vibrations and thermodynamics in buildings, transportation (incl. surface, air, space and sea), domestic appliances and outdoor surfaces.
MATELYS develops probably the most complete software suite for designing innovative multi-layer treatments, including measurement setups (hardware & software), experimental characterization, virtual prototyping and modeling.
MATELYS proposes an original approach to bring our partners toward their autonomy, which has been awarded in 2012 with the Industry Price of SFA (French Acoustical Society) and in 2011 with the Research Gold Decibel of CNB (National Council against noise).

Intuitive interface
AlphaCell graphic user interface is developed to be very intuitive for our customer to focus on their work and making AlphaCell looks like no other scientific software.
Extended material database
AlphaCell features an extended material database ans state-of-the-art predicting models. Materials which are addressed include foam and fibrous materials, perforated plates, heterogenous composites and visco-elastic materials.
Export to FE
AlphaCell provides export features toward several FEA and SEA simulation tools including OptiStruct, Coustyx, Actran/Nastran and SEAM.
Result interpretation assistant
An assistant is included in Alphacell to help the user to interpret the results with regard to governing physical phenomena.
Import of arbitrary data format
AlphaCell can import data (frequency, reflection coefficient, impedance, transmission loss...) from arbitrary text format for a point to point comparison between imported and simulated data
Composite sound absorption and TL
AlphaCell includes a tool to quickly estimate the sound absorption or transmission loss for patched material arrangements.
Fully scriptable
AlphaCell is fully scriptable and can be run from a command line interface to run parametric studies in background.
