The Symposium on Structural, Multidisciplinary Design and Simulation-Based Optimization will consist of an open forum of university researchers, professors, and graduate students, who, along with industry experts and Altair senior staff, will discuss how simulation-based optimization can enable efficient industrial design and research through the application of robust design methodology.

• Focused discussion on recent trends and advances in developing multidisciplinary design approaches for application to architectural and heavy-duty vehicle design, and advanced materials research.

• An undergraduate and graduate student poster session summarizing optimization course and research work in the Northwestern University Mechanical Engineering Department
